But after seeing her friends brutally slaughtered and eaten, there is no way that the main character would have not only defended the Natives, but lied to make it seem like they were a peaceful people.Īcting relatively good, beautifully shot with incredible visuals but overall, just another wholly forgettable "horror" movie. This tactic may have been effective if the Natives were shown to have mercy in any way. Then in the end, the movie seems to portray them as being "morally correct" in their ways and even goes as far as to imply that they are better than those of society. They wrote the Natives as vicious, unsympathetic murderers who would mangle people while they were still alive and screaming. However, the main issue I had with the movie was the "twist" at the end. ![]() The characters weren't developed enough for the audience to really care about them, and so it made their deaths less impactful. While the gore and deaths made for a scary watch, the storyline was heavily flawed. ![]() I can see what the movie was trying to do, but it was a swing and a huge miss.
